![]() Within minutes of arriving, you can get caught up in conversation with random strangers who are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. but that's when the fun is had floating the river! The whole feel at the inn is so communal and friendly. It's amazing how you show up bundled in snow coats and boots and end up walking back to your room in just a towel since the soaks were so relaxing and warm/ hot! Summer time is a little tough to soak in the hot pools when the outdoor temperature is in mid to high 90's. Winter is a bit rougher if you are staying off the "main property" but still fantastic. The fall time is beautiful because of fall colors and the pools aren't too hot since the days/ nights are cooler. This past weekend we staid in the cottage (our 2nd stay there), we have also staid in the blue house when we've brought our kids in the summer for floating the river! The place is old and quirky, which is what we LOVE! The whole town has its charming oddities in every corner! The free breakfast is home cooked and has a large variety! Coffee was a bit weak but we weren't expecting gourmet! The hotel grounds are old but obvious the staff is trying hard to keep the charm and quirkiness! Each season has its own special memories. Our trip was in mid August and the fields were covered in blooming wildflowers and virtually no bugs! The cooking was great, and it was nice not having to worry about helping with that task, Greg was a terrific camp cook for our trip - master of the dutch oven. Bring a pair of work gloves getting the horses ready, they are not needed for riding. Everyone in our group gladly helped groom and saddle with particular care for their own horse for the week. There is much to do when getting ready in the morning or after a ride, but people can do as little or much as they are comfortable with. Saddle bags nicely hold trail gear, like water bottles, binoculars, or a trail snack. ![]() I would use Dry Ridge outfitters again and again. Boone the wonder dog was friendly and loving and everyone wanted to take the Australian shepherd home. The horses were sure footed and forgiving. ![]() The mountains are breathtakingly beautiful. They are patient with the young and the old (our group was aged 13 to 70), the experienced and the complete novice. ![]() The 5-day pack trip to Tetons was fantastic! Deb and Kevin are warm and friendly. ![]()
